The cheap price for the fancy California-based coffee celebrates its D.C. debut. The story of Blue Bottle Coffee on its site begins, “In the late 1600s, the Turkish army swept across much of Eastern and Central Europe, arriving at Vienna in 1683,” so that should tell me everything you need to know. According to the Post, the beans are sourced from the Brooklyn roastery to ensure they are sold within 24-hours.
