The Washington Humane Society, no stranger to cute promotions, is currently offering discounted adoption fees on “pudgy” cats and dogs. Why? Because it’s almost Thanksgiving and everyone needs a butterball.

From today until Sunday, any one dog larger than 40 pounds are just $100, while cats over 10 pounds are $50. So technically, these animals aren’t necessarily chubby. But I’m sure some are.

“By no fault of their own, larger dogs and cats are often overlooked by adopters,” WHS’s director of communications ChristieLyn Diller said in a release. “They can be just as energetic as their smaller, or more slender friends, and those extra pounds just mean there is more to love!”
