Montgomery County Police announced that they’ve arrested two suspects in connection to a stolen credit card that was used to buy, among other things, a puppy.
According to a press release, Montgomery County Police Detectives charged Michael Pulliam, 39, and Jennifer Camardi, 29, with theft and credit card fraud stemming from an incident that occurred in August.
Pulliam and Camardi allegedly stole a credit card from a purse taken from the car of an elderly woman, who was attending church at the time. That’s some Andy Griffith Show-level petty crime right there. According to police, Pulliam and Camardi spent about $4,100 dollars on the card, buying a bunch of clothes from Nordstrom at Westfield Montgomery Mall as well as a puppy.
In addition to charges stemming from this incident, police say both suspects were also charged with conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to steal another’s credit card, and conspiracy to commit fraud via identity theft. Police also report that “Camardi returned the puppy purchased with the stolen credit card to police detectives.” Justice is served.
