RELEASE PARTY: Luri & Wilma magazine is throwing a Holiday Release Party at The Codmother (1334 U Street NW) this evening to celebrate its Very Green Holiday issue (which includes gift guides, DIY instructions, holiday recipes, and more). The evening will include crafting your own ornaments, drinking whiskey and spiced warm cider, and more. First 50 attendees get a goody bag. 7-10 p.m. RSVP required.

COMEDY: Local comedians who’ve performed at DC Improv, Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse, Laugh Factory, and more come together tonight for the Last Resort Comedy Show at Old Dominion Brewhouse (1219 9th Street NW). 9-10:30 p.m. Free.

POETRY & HAPPY HOUR: Beltway Poetry Slam is hosting a happy hour and open mic at The Dunes (1402 Meridian Place NW) tonight. Up to fifteen poets will perform original pieces for three minutes or less. Happy hour starts at 7 p.m., poets sign up at 7:40 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. $5.

HAPPY HOUR: Every Tuesday, The V Spot DC (a group “dedicated to exploring, creating, and celebrating queer and queer-friendly spaces in Washington D.C.”) hosts “Taco Tasting Tuesday” at El Centro (1819 14th Street NW). Come out from 5-7 p.m. for $2 tacos.
