A suspect in tonight’s Van Ness Metro stabbing.

A man was stabbed at the Van Ness Metro station this evening.

A Metro spokesperson says the man was transported conscious and alert to a local hospital. There is no other information on his condition.

Metro Transit Police released images of the female suspect, believed to be in her 20s, through Twitter. The stabbing apparently occurred after an altercation.

The Red Line is experiencing a number of delays this evening, but they are unrelated to the stabbing.
