D.C. firefighters sure had a busy night yesterday. According to Tim Wilson, a spokesman for the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, firefighters responded to three separate fires last night.
The first occurred shortly before 3 a.m. at 125 15th Street NE. Wilson says that it was a two alarm fire that caused some structural damage and a partial collapse. One firefighter suffered minor injuries, and one person was displaced.
The second fire occurred at a townhouse on T Street NE, between between North Capitol Street and Lincoln Road. Firefighters got the call shortly before 4 a.m. It was a single box fire, leaving seven people displaced, but no one injured.
And the third fire occurred early this morning, around 8 a.m. at an apartment unit on Newton Street NW, between 14th and 16th Streets. The fire was contained to the unit and no injuries were reported. One person was displaced.
This all comes after firefighters battled a massive house fire at the 500 block of Oneida Place NW on Monday night, which took more than a dozen firefighters to put out and left one person with life-threatening injuries.
