FOOD & DRINK: The Black Squirrel (2427 18th Street NW) is once again hosting its annual Thank-You Thanksgiving $5 All-You-Can-Eat Feast. As a thank you to their patrons, the bar will be serving up a Thanksgiving buffet with turkey, ham, and all the sides paired with football on the TV. Plus, their seasonal beer selection will probably trump what you’ll find at most family gatherings, with The Bruery Autumn Maple, Saucony Creek Captain Pumpkin’s Maple Mistress, Evolution Jacques Au Lantern, Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale and more. 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. (“or when we fall into a food coma–whichever comes first.”) $5.

>> Check out your other Thanksgiving eating out options in our recent roundup.

SWING DANCE: Head to the Kennedy Center today for a Thanksgiving Day Swing Dance Party on the Millennium Stage. The Tom Cunningham Orchestra will bring the tunes and Tom Koerner and Debra Sternberg will teach you how to swing. Dressing up in vintage or military clothing is encouraged, but not required. Free swing dance lessons start at 6 p.m. Dance party goes from 7:00 to 9 p.m. Free.

MOVIES: Ready to retreat from all the family and sit silently in a dark room for a few hours? Catch a movie! AFI Silver Theater (8633 Colesville Road Silver Spring, MD) is showing The Wizard of Oz, the third greatest movie musical of all time (according to AFI), at 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Or, head over to E Street Cinema for the latest flicks, including Blue is the Warmest Color, Dallas Buyers Club, and more.
