D.C. will have another Busboys and Poets by next year.

As the Post first reported, owner and mayoral candidate Andy Shallal is planning to open a Brookland location as part of the Monroe Street Market project. There are already two Busboys and Poets locations in D.C., as well as Hyattsville and Shirlington.

“With a strong hand in community involvement, art, cultural uplifting, and political discussion, Busboys and Poets is a perfect fit for Monroe Street Market,” Shallal said in a statement. “We are thrilled to be a part of this amazing development, and are equally excited to share our brand with this community.”

According to a release, the new Busboys and Poets will be 7,400 square feet. It is scheduled to open in fall 2014. By then, Shallal could be the new mayor of D.C.
