Beginning just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Marc trains that travel on the Penn Line will begin making trips from Union Station to Baltimore’s Penn Station, nine trips in all ending at 10:35 p.m. Trips from Penn Station on Saturdays begin at 7:35 a.m. and end at 9:15 p.m. Sunday service begins later and ends earlier in the day, with six round trips offered. The stations served are Martin State Airport, Baltimore’s Penn Station, West Baltimore, Halethorpe,
Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Odenton, Bowie, New Carrollton and Union Station.
Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley set aside $46 million of his nearly $1.5 billion transportation spending package for the weekend service. Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, as well as Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and D.C. Department of Transportation director Terry Bellamy, will be at Union Station Saturday to kick off service.
One-way trips still cost $7. The new schedule can be seen here.
