Jimmy Kimmel mocked Washington, D.C., Rob Ford and Marion Barry last night on his late night program by suggesting that the mayor of Toronto should run for that office in this city.
Addressing Ford’s new gig on The Sports Junkies, Kimmel suggested that the one-time crack-smoking politician would also be a good fit for political office here in D.C. He even made a fake mayoral ad that ended with, “He’s Barry good.”
Kimmel should be very careful with the Barry jokes. Earlier this week, the mayor for life threatened to call the police on a Canadian reporter who asked him about Ford. From the Canadian Press:
At first, he shook hands with a Canadian reporter who approached him outside the chamber doors. But that split-second of camaraderie ended abruptly as the subject of Ford came up. Barry began walking away.
When he caught sight of a video camera, he snapped.
“Take that camera out of my face. I’m going to call the police,” Barry said. “Take that camera out of my face, right now,” he repeated, several times.
