FOOD & DRINK: Washington City Paper’s Bacon and Bourbon Festival at Longview Gallery (1234 9th St. NW) tonight will include bacon dishes from local restaurants, bourbon tastings, beer, live bluegrass, and a mechanical bull. 6-10 p.m. for VIPs, 7-10 p.m. for general admission. Tickets: $49 general admission, $75 VIP admission.

STORYTELLING: Hear “stories about fate, serendipity, and coincidence” at SpeakeasyDC’s “Destiny’s Child” storytelling night at the Town Danceboutique (2009 8th St. NW) this evening. Doors 6:30 p.m., show 8 p.m. $15 online until 1 p.m. day of the show, or at the door.

MEETUP: Network with fellow tech professionals at Tech in Motion’s Walking in a Techie Wonderland meetup at Sign of the Whale (1825 M St. NW) this evening. The event will also include a canned food drive for the Capital Area Food Bank. For every two cans of food you bring in, you’ll receive one ticket for a craft beer. 6-8 p.m.
