Listen: Let’s just not get started on tomorrow’s weather.

We could talk about how conversational s-words are in the forecast, as well as rain and sleet. I could tell you that the D.C. Snow Team will deploy 200 plows on Saturday, and that Department of Public Works director William O. Howland, Jr. said, “The Snow Team is ready for this latest challenge from Mother Nature. Fortunately, precipitation should be lighter than this week’s previous storms. People will be able to travel during daylight hours, but we still advise being cautious as they drive and walk throughout the city.”

Metro has taken notice of the weather we’re not discussing and cancelled work on the Green Line. (There will still be work on the Red, Orange and Blue lines.)

But no: We won’t talk about this minor winter weather event because up north they never would, etc. We must be strong in the face of this weather by closing our eyes, plugging our ears and pretending nothing is happening.
