SCOTCH: Do you love scotch as much as Ron Burgundy? Find out at Jack Rose’s (2007 18th Street NW) Anchorman 2-themed party tonight from 8-11 p.m. Dress up as your favorite Anchorman character while sipping on cocktails with names like the Sex Panther and Afternoon Delight. MEETUP: Restaurant Opportunities Centers is hosting an EatUp at Busboys and Poets (1025 5th Street NW) this evening to “bring together like minds to support raising the tipped minimum wage.” There will be “good food & drink, bingo like you’ve never seen it (seriously, it’s not what you think), and behind-the-scenes stories from one of DC’s most popular bartenders.” 7-9 p.m. $15 (includes admission and one drink).

There will be at least 10 Christmas beers on tap, including Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Troegs Mad Elf, and Heavy Seas Yuletide to get your Christmas knowledge flowing. The wearing of Christmas sweaters is highly recommended. Beer starts at 6 p.m., trivia begins at 8:30 p.m. Free to play, beers priced individually.

WEDNESDAY: A group of DCist commenters, also known as the commentariat, is hosting their monthly happy hour at Bluejacket (300 Tingey Street SE) this Wednesday. Come out to meet the real people behind the snark. 5:30 p.m. until it gets weird.

THURSDAY: Catch a holiday classic, Miracle on 34th Street, at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA) this Thursday. 7:30 p.m. $6.50.

FRIDAY: Celebrate a very merry scary Krampus Kristmas at the 9:30 Club’s punk, garage, and metal holiday party with staff DJs this Friday. There will also be Great Lakes Christmas Ale for $5. 9:30 p.m. Free.
