Ryan Loskarn, the fired chief of staff to Sen. Lamar Alexander, was released from jail today as he awaits prosecution on child pornography charges.
The AP reports:
A federal judge on Monday allowed Ryan Loskarn to be released and live with his parents in Maryland. Loskarn’s lawyers argued that the 35-year-old had no prior convictions or arrests.
Loskarn must stay inside his parents’ home and be electronically monitored. He can’t have any access to the Internet.
Loskarn was arrested on December 11 at his home in Southeast D.C. and charged with possession and attempted distribution of child pornography. Alexander, a Tennessee Republican, said he was “stunned, surprised and disappointed” by the allegations. Loskarn is facing decades in prison.
