Yep, DCist has made yet another weird-but-fitting holiday playlist for you, complete with 21 yuletide classics that, well, maybe get overshadowed classic holiday standards like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Blue Christmas,” or whatever. Some argue that there haven’t been any new Christmas standards since Mariah Carey’s snooze-fest anthem, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” while others disagree. To me, these 21 tunes are classics, and soon the world will recognize them as so and they’ll all be chart-topping Christmas hits.
