During a toy giveaway in Southeast D.C. today, Santa (or a man in a Santa suit) was shot in the shoulder with a pellet gun. You’re a criminal, Mr. Grinch.
WUSA9’s Delia Gonçalves first tweeted about the incident. Here’s more from her:
Gonçalves said the man was shot twice in the back, apparently from a nearby home, at the 22nd annual Barry Farm toy drive.
Police and fire officials are on scene investigating, Gonçalves said. The victim suffered minor injuries.
WJLA says the victim was transported to a hospital with a pellet still in his shoulder.

Just arrived at the scene of the Santa shooting. He’s riding an ambulance not a sleigh but will be ok pic.twitter.com/iZSL7ufnTn

Who shoots Santa on Christmas Eve? Who does that? Sad. Very selfish and reckless.
