While Mayor Vince Gray has already made clear his intention to seek reelection, he will officially kick-off his campaign in January.
Gray’s campaign will host an event on January 11 at THEARC, “a gorgeous facility supported by an exemplary organization whose mission it is to improve the quality of life for children and adults residing in the East End of our city.” As an email touts, President Barack Obama recently used the space to give a speech about economic mobility and approve the D.C. Council’s minimum wage hike.
The mayor will face off against several Councilmembers and candidates in the April Democratic primary.
