Update: An attorney with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender says his client, Timothy Pernell Williams, turned himself in to the Prince George’s County Detention Center this evening. Jason Ricke said he could not comment on the allegations made against Williams.

Metro Transit Police say they’ve identified a suspect in an armed kidnapping and robbery of a man at a Maryland Metro station.

According to Metro, a man kidnapped a rider at gunpoint Friday at the Naylor Road Metro station and forced the victim to withdraw funds from several ATMs after they traveled to the Waterfront station. The victim was able to flee.

Timothy Pernell Williams, 21, has been identified as a suspect. Anyone who can locate him should call Metro Transit Police Detectives at 202-962-2121.
