From the department of real-life twee romance stories: An Alexandria woman who hit it off with a dude at a bar last week is turning to the Internet to help her find the guy after she blew her chance to exchange numbers.
Fox5 reports that a woman named Courtney met a guy named Ben at The Light Horse restaurant in Old Town on December 23 and “chatted for hours.” “Religion, faith, morality, culture, and how do you define culture in society, definitely not the things you just randomly talk to someone about in bar,” she told Fox5. “It was an extensive conversation in the middle of a DJ playing, a hundred people dancing all around us.”
Instead of getting his number, she left with friends, and now she regrets that decision. But since we live in a day and age where living with regrets and learning from past experiences is so passé, she decided to take the romance-movie route and posted flyers around town that read: “Ben (from The Light Horse), I made the wrong choice on Dec. 23rd. Call me! -Courtney.” And yes, she did include her phone number.
After posting 60 signs around King Street in Old Town, people took notice, naturally. And because people love a good old-fashioned love story, it has since gone viral, with people posting pics of the flyers on Twitter, with the hashtag “#FindBen.” But alas, according to Courtney’s Twitter account, she’s yet to find Ben.
