Beginning tomorrow, the National Symphony Orchestra will once again bring free shows to D.C. neighborhoods, this time to Capitol Hill and H Street NE.
For the third year, NSO members will perform over 20 times as small ensembles in unusual locations — including Union Station, Eastern Market, the Argonaut on H Street NE and Homebody on Barracks Row — through January 13.
“NSO In Your Neighborhood is an exciting project each year for our musicians, because they get to perform in many different kinds of spaces around the city,” NSO Executive Director Rita Shapiro said in a statement. “The thriving arts communities in H Street NE and Capitol Hill have given us many possibilities, and we are looking forward to reaching new audiences and creating partnerships with many organizations in this vibrant part of Washington, DC.”
