Singer Chris Brown rejected a plea deal for a misdemeanor simple assault charge, instead opting to go to trial. Yes, D.C. is not rid of him yet.

As several reporters relayed, Brown’s next court date was set for February 12, when he’ll be given a trial date, at the D.C. Superior Court. Brown and his bodyguard were arrested in October after allegedly punching a person outside the W Hotel. His attorney today contended, “Mr. Brown committed no crime.”

Several U.S. Marshals were stationed inside and outside the D.C. Superior Court to control the media and Brown’s fans. This led to some shoving.

And here’s an NBC4 video of a woman screaming, “I LOVE YOU CHRIS,” just to make you feel extra sad.
