Metro has released a schedule of track work expected to take place through June.

For the weekends of January 17 to 19 and February 15 to 17, the Red Line will be closed between Metro Center and Woodley Park. Buses will replace trains so “switch replacement, rail tie, insulator and fastener renewal, and rail joint elimination” can take place.

The Greenbelt station will be closed between January 17 and 19, as well as March 15 and 16, for “construction of test track for arrival of 7000-series railcars.”

There is no track work scheduled during the Cherry Blossom Festival, which will run from March 20 to April 13 this year.
