If you’re still in disbelief that the fabled D.C. streetcars are coming soon, now’s the time to start believing: DDOT will hold a D.C. Streetcar job fair on January 27.
According to the D.C. Streetcar website, they’re looking to hire a maintenance technician, material handler, service attendant, and—best of all—a streetcar operator, who will actually get to drive the damn thing.
If any of these jobs interest you—or if you just want to be part of the team to bring streetcars to the city—head on over to the Department of Employment Services Headquarters (4058 Minnesota Ave. NE) on January 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Still no firm date on when passenger service on the H Street NE-Benning Road line will start, but Gray’s promise of early February isn’t looking so good.
