Zach Rausnitz, a Fierce Government editor who regularly makes cyclists’ lives easier, has created a new app that shows current dock conditions at Capital Bikeshare stations, as well as recent trends.

BIKESHARE IQ is similar to Spotcycle, but Rausnitz explains how it differs: “It tracks the trend for each station’s supply of bikes and open docks (so you can see how the supply is changing, not just the current state); it is a web app so you don’t have to download it (good for tourists and other short-term members); and offers a text-only option that loads quickly on phones.”

The app also works in Chicago, New York, Minneapolis-St. Paul, the San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Columbus, Chattanooga, London and Toronto.
