A 17-year-old man was injured in Northeast D.C. yesterday when he was struck by a car that fled the scene.

Fox5 reports that DeMarcus Grant was walking in the crosswalk at 17th Street and Lyman Place NE, on his way to school, when he was hit by the driver of a white car. Grant was taken to Howard Hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries, including the loss of three teeth.

The driver is still at large.

At least 30 pedestrians and cyclists have been struck by vehicles this year, at least two fatally.
