We don’t know who you are, man who transported a mattress on a Metro bus. Are you a hero for showing us that there’s no need to rent an expensive moving van to transport furniture? Are you a villain for taking up that much of the bus with a huge sleeping pad? The answer likely resides somewhere in between.
From the published Metrobus Rules and Manners, it appears bringing a mattress on a bus isn’t specifically against the rules:
Don’t:
Eat, drink, smoke or litter on Metro vehicles or in the stations. Metro Transit Police issue citations or make arrests to enforce the law. Help keep the system clean. Talk to the driver when the bus is moving. Lean against the doors. Engage in horseplay or rowdy behavior.
We’ve asked Metro to comment on the video, just to make sure.
