FILM: Valentine’s Day is less than a week away. Get in the mood with Screen Valentines: Great Movie Romances, a series of comedies, rom-coms, and other lovely-dovey flicks at AFI Silver Theatre (8633 Colesville Road
Silver Spring, Md.). Tonight see a screening of Intermezzo: A Love Story (celebrating its 75th anniversary) at 5:20 p.m. The series of romantic films continues through March 20.
COMEDY: Comedian Kurt Braunohler, “recently named one of Variety’s ‘Top 10 Comics to Watch’ and Time Out New York’s ’50 Funniest New Yorkers,'” brings the funny to the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (2700 F Street NW) tonight. 6 p.m.

TUESDAY: Zaytinya (701 9th Street NW) and DC Brau are teaming up for a special beer dinner with brewery owners Brandon Skall and Jeff Hancock on Tuesday, February 11th at 7 p.m. The five course dinner will feature beer pairings, including limited release brews like the Exaltation Strong Ale and the Model Citizen American Cream Ale. WEDNESDAY: The National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 New York Avenue NW) presents Wine, Twine and Valentine this Wednesday, a Valentine’s-themed craft night and happy hour. Drink vino, make “textile-inspired crafts,” and tour the museum’s collections. 5-8 p.m. $18-$20 (includes two glasses of wine and craft materials).
THURSDAY: Friends of Travis Jackson—the founder of local punk label Windian Records and former drummer of party-punk band The Points who was killed in a traffic incident earlier this month—have set up benefit concert for his family. The show will be held at Black Cat’s backstage on Thursday, February 13. The show will feature performances from garage-punk bands Thee Lolitas and End Crimes, with records spinning all night from DJs Mad Squirrel, Baby Alcatraz, and Collin (of Thee Lolitas). 8 p.m. $10. – Matt Cohen
FRIDAY: Celebrate Valentine’s Day this Friday by learning animal mating habits at Woo at the Zoo (6:30-8 p.m., $100-$125), watching The Princess Bride at Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (7:00 p.m. show sold out, 9:50 p.m. still available, $10), or dancing the night away at Singles Night at Bourbon in Adams Morgan.
SATURDAY: You may wear your heart on your sleeve, but you won’t be wearing much else if you participate in Cupid’s Undie Run, a mile-long jog in your skivvies around the Capitol, this Saturday. 2 p.m. $80.
