There are many ways to measure snowfall: Sticks, rulers, patio furniture, your leg. DCist enlisted the help of a very brave dachshund named Honey — who’s also an adoptable Rural Dog Rescue pup — to give us the official dog measurement.

The verdict? There’s enough snow to really exhaust an average-sized dachshund or equivalent animal.
