They say every picture tells a story.

And for months now, our own Pablo Maurer has been risking life and limb (well, at least arrest) to snap gorgeous, haunting pictures of our region’s decaying, abandoned facilities and telling the story behind them. Spoiler alert: They’re always interesting, often heartbreaking stories.

Earlier today, Pablo was a guest on the Kojo Nnamdi Show, where he discussed his adventures photographing the “Abandoned” series.
