Via AWLA.A cat was recently found in Arlington after being shot more than 30 times with a BB gun, according to a newsletter from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
Arrow, as the tabby is now known, was brought to AWLA after being found near the Ballston mall. From the Arlington Patch:
The shelter veterinarian found that the cat is blind, with the right eye shrunken. The cat’s left eye has a dilated pupil and lens opacity. The vet staff named him Arrow and sent him out for x-rays. “We were shocked to learn that he had at least 20 BB pellets in his head alone,” shelter staff said in the latest copy of Shelter Tails, the e-newsletter.
AWLA’s Susan Sherman told ARLnow, “Everyone here is impressed with Arrow’s will to survive and thrive.” They are hoping for his eventual adoption.
