Singer Chris Brown, and the media circus that follows him, will return to D.C. in April for the start of his trial on charges he assaulted a person outside the W Hotel.

As the Post reports, Brown’s trial is expected to last three days and the start date may be changed. Brown and his bodyguard Chris Hollosy were originally charged with felony assault, but the charged was reduced to a misdemeanor.

Brown’s alleged victim, Parker Isaac Adams, is also suing the singer for $3 million. The AP reports:

The civil lawsuit filed Tuesday in Washington seeks $1.5 million from each man. Lawyers for Parker Isaac Adams say their client’s nose was fractured and he had other injuries to his head and face as a result of being punched.

Adams said in a telephone interview Thursday that he is seeking to recover money for his medical bills which include visits to a plastic surgeon and a breathing specialist. A lawyer for Adams, John C. Hayes Jr., said his client is largely seeking money for “pain and suffering.”
