Last weekend Metro was doing work on all lines, causing disruption and delays all weekend. This weekend ain’t looking much better.
In a release, WMATA says that the Metro Center station on the Red Line will be closed all this weekend “to allow for signage and lighting upgrades.” All Red, Orange, and Blue Line trains will pass through the station this weekend without stopping, but free shuttle buses will be available between the Federal Triangle, Metro Center, and Gallery Place Metro stations.
Due to this, trains will run every 20 minutes on the Blue and Orange Lines this weekend. The Red, Yellow, and Green Line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule, except during daytime hours on Saturday on the Green Line, where trains at the Greenbelt Station will arrive and depart every 20-25 minutes.
Consider yourself warned.
