A male pedestrian was struck by a Metrobus early this morning near Dupont Circle.
According to WMATA spokesman Dan Stessel, the man is in stable condition after he was struck by a Metrobus in the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue NW shortly after midnight.
Stessel says the pedestrian ran out into the street where there is no crosswalk right before the Connecticut Avenue tunnel that goes underneath the circle and was struck by the Metrobus. An investigation into the incident is still underway.
At least 54 pedestrians have been struck in D.C., primarily by vehicles, this year.
