THEATER: The Kennedy Center kicks off its World Stages festival tonight, which features “13 fully staged productions, 9 of which are U.S premieres, as well as theater-focused installations, staged readings, and panel discussions.” Tonight, two installations, Raw to Real and Pequeno Teatro (Little Theater) opens, but performance start tomorrow night. LOCAL MUSIC: Post-hardcore trio Atlas At Last hit the stage of The Dunes tonight along with D.C. psych-rockers myrrh myrrh and shoegazers Threading from Ann Arbor. $10, starts at 8 p.m. More info here.

OPERA: Columbia Heights bar The Pinch might be known for hosting raucous punk shows, but it’s not exclusively a punk bar. Tonight, get your brew on and listen to some opera songs as Opera on Tap takes over, with a host of performers belting out their favorite operatic and theatrical tunes. $5, starts at 7 p.m. Info here.

TUESDAY: Oyamel Cocica Mexicana celebrates its seventh annual Tequila and Mexcal Festivalo with a tasting and dinner focusing on Tequileros and Mezcaleros.

WEDNESDAY: The Alex Hamburger Quartet hits the Anacostia Arts Center. Show is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. Info here.

THURSDAY: The Heurich House Museum is hosting a book launch for Garret Peck’s new book about the history of brewing in D.C., Capital Beer. Starts at 6:30 p.m. Get your tickets here.

FRIDAY: Hey, if you like ’90s punk, pop-punk, and emo, I (Matt Cohen) am spinning that stuff at the Black Cat’s backstage. There’s certainly better things you can do that night, but this is free, so there’s that. Come, or whatever. Starts at 10 p.m.

SATURDAY: The State Theater in Falls Church, Va. is hosting a comedy night feature the local talents of Mikey Larrick, Tommy Sinbazo, Rich Bennett, and Tim D. Miller. $5, starts at 9 p.m.
