“Operation Lady POTUS is GO!”

Looks like Selena Meyer is eyeing the presidency. In the first trailer for Veep’s third season, Selena and her inept staff are back and doing everything they can to gear her up for a presidential run. Of course, they might not be around for long, as the trailer shows Selena having a secret meeting with an advisor who suggests she fire her entire staff if she’s to effectively run for the office.

In the short trailer, there’s no shortage of great quips and one-liners, like this one: “You don’t announce your candidacy while the incumbent is still warm. That’s like trying to bang a widow at the funeral.” Wise words, Dan.

Veep returns on Sunday, April 6 at 10:30 p.m. on HBO.
