Ex Hex is on a roll lately. After winning over hosts of new fans at SXSW last week, Pitchfork just dropped a music video for the band’s first single, “Hot and Cold.” (The band’s first 7″ also dropped today, which you get here, if you’d like)
The laid-back single’s accompanying video, directed by Lara Gallagher, is appropriately humorous and awkward. Frontwoman Mary Timony is on a boring date with ubiquitous D.C. punk legend Ian Svenonius, but it gets crashed by bandmates Laura Harris and Betsy Wright, who gorge themselves on a decadent meal before it all devolves into a massive food fight.
