Kahlil Malik Tatum, the 51-year-old person of interest in the disappearance of eight-year-old Relisha Rudd, has been charged with the murder of his wife, according to Prince George’s County police.

Andrea Denise Tatum was found suffering from a gunshot wound in an Oxon Hill motel room on Thursday after police went there to search for Rudd, a release states. She was pronounced on the scene.

The search for Rudd, who was reported missing Wednesday but hasn’t been with her mother at the D.C. General shelter since February 26, continues. According to reports, Rudd’s mother gave her to Tatum, a janitor at the shelter, to be cared for. Anyone with information should call 911 or 202-727-9099.
