With just over a week until the April Democratic primary, the crowded mayoral field seems to be a two-horse race. At least that’s the way it looks to Mayor Vince Gray’s campaign.

Today, Gray’s campaign launched a new website specifically targeting Muriel Bowser (D-Ward 4) and her supposed lack of experience to become D.C.’s next mayor. The website, murielnotready.com, asks how she’s expected to manage D.C.’s 33,000 employees and $10 billion budget if she’s only managed “three or four people.”

Embedded on the site is a new 30-second video, which includes a clip of her telling News Channel 8 how many she’s hired “all told,” while an oddly cheery melody plays. The site also links to a criticizing piece about Bowser by DC Watch’s Dorothy Brizill, saying that “[she] has not demonstrated good judgment in hiring her staff. She has one of the worst staffs on the council.”
