DOCUMENTARY: Solas Nua’s Irish Popcorn Film series brings a screening of the documentary The Irish Pub to Busboys and Poets (2021 14th Street NW) this evening. 7-9 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: The National Building Museum (401 F Street NW) hosts Taste of the Nation, showcasing “more than 70 of the area’s best food and drink establishments during an evening of exquisite dining and imbibing” that raises money for the No Kid Hungry campaign. 7-10 p.m. $120-$225.

MOVIES: Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington Va.) is showing American Hustle (nominated for 10 Oscars) at 7 p.m. and Her (winner of an Oscar for Best Writing, Original Screenplay) at 9:50 p.m. this evening. $2 each film.

ART: Attend the opening of artist Kate Williamson’s exhibit, A Year in Japan, at the Inter-American Development Bank Staff Association Art Gallery (1300 New York Avenue NW, 13th Street entrance) this evening. 6-8 p.m.

TUESDAY: The Capital City Showcase presents The DMV Roast of the Metro this Tuesday at The Brixton (901 U Street NW). The participating roasters have plenty of material to work with and zingers will fly at The Metro (played by a stand-in, comedian Michael J. Foody). 8-10 p.m. Free (but donations encouraged).

WEDNESDAY: This is the last week to see the Exposed DC Photography Show at Long View Gallery (1234 9th Street NW). The exhibition closes this Sunday, April 6. This year’s featured photographers have captured the varied and vibrant moments in and around D.C. Free.

THURSDAY: Raise a glass to the National Cherry Blossom Festival at a Grand Sake Tasting at Carnegie Library (801 K Street NW) this Thursday. Attendees will “enjoy 20 master sake, beer and shochu brewers from Japan” as well as small bites from area Japanese restaurants. 7 p.m. $100 general admission, $150 VIP.

FRIDAY: Valentine Candy Burlesque presents YouBoob Burlesque, where viral YouTube videos are “reinvented into burlesque and variety acts,” at the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) this Friday. Shows at 8:45 p.m. and 11 p.m. $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

SATURDAY: District Flea brings over 100 furniture, crafts, and food vendors to 945 Florida Avenue NW this Saturday and every Saturday for the next six weeks. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

SUNDAY: If you don’t have cable, or your friend’s HBOGo password, head to Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar (1104 H Street NE) this Sunday for the season four premiere of Game of Thrones. They tried to tell us winter was coming, who knows what warnings this season will bring. 9 p.m.
