With less than 24 hours until the polls open for the 2014 Democratic primary election in D.C, early voter turnout has been especially low this year. According to the D.C. Board of Elections, just over 14,000 voters cast their ballots early, which is nearly 8,000 less than the Democratic primary four years ago.

Why is turnout lower this year than in previous years? It’s hard to say, exactly. As the Post reports, many candidates blame the new campaign schedule (a primary in April as opposed to September), as well as this month’s unusually chilly and damp weather. Despite the low voter turnout so far, there’s still plenty of time to turn the numbers around.

Tomorrow, 143 voting precincts throughout D.C. will open at 7 a.m. and will stay open until 8 p.m., giving you plenty of time and opportunities to go and vote. Here’s the comprehensive list of all 143 voting precincts.

And if you’re not registered to vote in D.C., you can still register and vote on election day. Simply show up to your precinct’s polling place with a voter registration application and a valid proof of residence (copy of a current and valid government photo identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter).
