Tabloid headline Chris Brown—and the never-ending media circus that follows him—is on his way to D.C. for his upcoming assault trial.

The AP reports that U.S. Marshals Service has taken him into custody to get ready to transport him to D.C. for his misdemeanor assault trial on charges he assaulted a person outside the W Hotel back in October. The trial is scheduled later this month, but authorities did not say when he would be transported to D.C. exactly.

Brown was arrested in mid-March when he was dismissed from court-mandated rehab and has been in a Los Angeles jail ever since.
