Police are seeking information from the public on a hit-and-run that happened Saturday at the intersection of 7th Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW.

The crash, which occurred around 9:31 p.m., seriously injured a pedestrian, according to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department.

The victim was struck by a stolen 1998 white Ford Windstar cargo van with DC tags DT-8537. The vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day from the 3200 block of O Street, NW. The van fled the scene, but was recovered on Sunday, March 30, 2014.
