Metro trains on the Blue Line were temporarily suspended between the Van Dorn Street and King Street stations due to a gas leak, WMATA says.

WMATA spokesperson Dan Stessel tells DCist that rail service between those stations was restored to a single track at 1:26 p.m., causing 6 to 12 minute delays. Stessel says crews are working to have the second track back in service soon.

Stessel says he’s not certain if permanent repairs have been made, but the gas company has resolved the situation enough to allow single-tracking.
