Grilled cheese aficionados, today is your day. GCDC—D.C.’s first grilled cheese-centric restaurant and self-described “cheese bar” — is opening today at 11 a.m.

But any true grilled cheese fan worth their weight in gooey, melty cheese knows that tomorrow is National Grilled Cheese day. To celebrate, GCDC will be selling $5 grilled cheese sandwiches and half-priced draft beers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. But GCDC isn’t your average grilled cheese restaurant. The menu boasts “creative, specialty grilled cheese sandwiches ranging from the Korean-style Kim-Cheese-Steak and the pasta-inspired Grilled Carbonara, as well as a ‘Grill Your Own’ option of artisanal cheeses and toppings.”

You can read more about GCDC from our preview of the restaurant and start salivating. Happy (early) National Grilled Cheese Day, everyone.

GCDC is located at 1730 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
