Almost as ubiquitous as Pharrell’s anthem to merriment is his now-iconic oversized hat, which looks like a cross between a Park Ranger’s hat and that of Curious George’s handler.

And now Pharrell’s hat has reached its pop culture zenith as it’s now the subject of an Andy Warhol-like painting that’s part of a pop art exhibit at The Art League Gallery in Alexandria. According to a release, the exhibit is part of a celebration of The Art League’s 60th anniversary, in which they asked artists to “channel Pop Artists of the 1960s” for an exhibition.

The Pharrell piece, entitled “Happy,” by Diane Blackwell “[celebrates] the iconic movement with a modern twist.” “Happy,” along with the rest of the pieces in the exhibition, “[explores] the methods and themes of the pop artists from the 1960s inside the cultural and artistic world of 2014.” No word if there’s any painting of Lady Gaga being puked on at SXSW, but it seems like the exhibition would be incomplete without one.

Anyway, the Pop Art exhibition is on display at The Art League (105 North Union Street, Alexandria, Va.) now through May 5.
