THEATER: You’re not in London, but you can still watch a live performance from London’s West End, courtesy of National Theatre Live. The latest attempt to bring live performances to a worldwide audience via HD movie screens features War Horse, starring life-size puppets (the horses) by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company. ARCHITECTURE: Architecture Week (and a half) run from April 21 to May 1. The festivities kick off with an opening night party, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction/art giveaway, and of course, architecture, as photographed by Ron Blunt. The first 150 guests to arrive will receive an exhibit poster. Mandarin Oriental Art Gallery (1330 Maryland Avenue SW) 6-9 p.m. $10

DISCUSSION: Glen’s Garden Market ((2001 S Street NW) hosts Honest Tea co-founder and “TeaEO” Seth Goldman for a discussion about how edible products that are good for both your body and the planet can change the future of food. 6-7 p.m. Free.

TUESDAY: Nice things can be found at Goodwill, and for one night only, the best of the best fashions from the Goodwill of Greater Washington retail stores will all be in one place during the “Good as New” trunk show. Food and drink samples from Jrink, Bakers Dozen, and Madhatter will be served. Epic Yoga DC (1323 Connecticut Avenue NW) 5-9:30 p.m. $20.

WEDNESDAY: The HOUR, a monthly series that celebrates music, art, fashion, and most importantly, gluten-free diets, returns with a collection preview at Willow Fashion (843 Upshur Street NW). One ticket allows entrance for you and a friend, and includes food and beverages by Goldilocks Goodies, Kate Bakes and Omission Beer. 6-8 p.m. $25

THURSDAY: Casey Trees is debuting the Canopy Awards to celebrate all the work that has been put in to protecting D.C.’s trees. Describing itself as not your typical fundraiser, the night will include food, an open bar, photo booths (kind of typical), bocce and an 8-hole putt course (not so typical).
