Factory Floor is a U.K.-based three piece
that has been making electronic music since 2005. The band released many singles in the run up to last year’s self-titled debut. Their earlier singles were more noisy but the debut was a dance floor-focused record with catchy tracks. Factory Floor plays U Street Music Hall on Thursday, and they’re not to be missed. “Turn it Up,” the first track on the album, has a skeletal vibe that slowly builds starting with a click, then a drum fill and some vocals until everything is going at once.

Factory Floor play with Protect-U and Steven Faith Thursday at U Street Music Hall. Tickets are $15.
