The Range, an electronic artist from Providence, R.I., released the fantastic record Nonfiction last year on British label Donkey Pitch. The record takes vocal samples and blends them with day-glow beats and shifting drum patterns. Each of the eleven tracks are filled with euphoric highs while the warped vocals have dark currents that ground the tracks. The Range followed Nonfiction with the Panasonic EP this March and is currently supporting CHVRCHES on tour. To celebrate the tour, The Range remixed CHVRCHES highlight “We Sink.” Using only the vocals from the chorus, The Range builds the track with just vocals and a string sample. The track is slower than the original allowing The Range to put his trademark stamp on the song.

The Range plays tonight with CHVRCHES at the 9:30 Club. Tickets are sold-out.
