The collapse of one building—and the partial collapse of a few others—sent people running into the streets for safety this afternoon.
The Metropolitan Police Department says that at least one whole building on the 400 block of K Street NW collapsed this afternoon, and three others on the block partially collapsed. It’s too early to tell what caused the buildings to collapse, but an MPD PIO says that there’s no reported injuries at this time.
NBC4 reports that the building that collapsed was adjacent to popular downtown strip club, The Cloakroom. People were jumping out of the second floor windows of the club, a witness said.
