The Humanities Council of Washington, D.C. is looking for innovative high school teachers so they can give them $2,500.
From now until May 30, HCWDC and The Schimel Lode will accept nominations. Nominees should be full-time humanities teachers who use or plan to use “unique and innovative methods for reaching students.” Half of the money is an award, while the other half is set aside to curriculum materials.
Winners of the Abraham Lincoln Schimel and Beatrice Schimel Award will be given the resources to document their approach in a video. A grant workshop will take place on May 15.
